The Role of the Management Advisory Committee is
as follows:
The Committee will meet two times a year. It will act as a problem
solving body on issues that the Legacy Project staff need advise
and member agency involvement on. Topics include data, staffing,
and other issues for partnering on beyond the state government.
In the near term, the Committee will assist the Legacy Project to
identify common imagery, data and mapping needs; improve data sharing
and updating systems; and to set priorities for developing or improving
conservation data sets. The Committee will also advise on how the
Legacy Project’s conservation planning-support tools can best be
designed to assist individual agencies’ conservation planning efforts.
The committee will work in cooperation with the GIS Council and
the California Biodiversity Council.
