The California Legacy Project was an exciting initiative that involved a broad range of government agencies and citizen organizations. Working collaboratively, it developed a suite of tools and maps to help Californians make the important decisions about conserving and protecting the state's bountiful working lands and magnificent natural resources.

The California Digital Conservation Atlas is California.s comprehensive public website for conservation information. It is designed to provide easy-to-use, map views of California.s natural resources and working landscapes for people who may not be familiar with specialized geographic software.

Strategic Conservation Investments: Revised Methodology - February 2003
This report describes important concepts that a statewide conservation investment strategy needs to incorporate. It goes on to illustrate the improvements made to the Legacy Project's original, 2001 conservation priorities methodology.
